Some people who long for the natural surroundings of the Rocky Mountains may think of Casper Wyoming real estate as too remote. For instance, they may want to be able to dip into big-city entertainment once in a while. Residents and visitors to Casper real estate do leisurely ride out on horseback onto the prairie from Casper WY homes, Casper Mountain real estate in the woods, and Natrona County Wyoming recreational ranches, but they also have well-developed cultural inclinations.
Maybe, if you are used to big-name entertainment, you’ve never thought of Wyoming real estate as the place to retire—even in Casper or Cheyenne WY homes. You must not know that after the railroad tracks were laid in the 1860s, the Wild West saloons and shows gave way to classier venues and performers like Lily Langtry and Emma Nevada who were en route from New York to San Francisco. Cheyenne Wyoming homes took on a more elegant hue as wealthy cattle barons from the United States and abroad bought up choice pieces of Wyoming property for their exclusive Wyoming ranches. The trains also brought in a more sophisticated and refined lifestyle to Wyoming.
Fast forward to November 9, 2008 when the Golden Dragon Acrobats, the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company of today, perform at Natrona County High School in the John F. Welsh Auditorium, 930 South Elm Street in Casper. Representing the best of a 2,500-year period of the highest quality production and attention to artistic details, the Golden Dragon Acrobats are unparalleled in the art form. Featuring world-renowned impresario Danny Chang and choreographer Angela Chang, the troupe performs in spectacular costumes to ancient and contemporary music with breathtaking skill and beauty.
The Golden Dragon Acrobats made their Broadway debut to a sold out audience at the New Victory Theater and received two prestigious New York Drama Desk nominations including Danny Chang for Unique Theatrical Experience and Angela Chang for Best Choreography.
Then, on November 19, the John F. Welsh Auditorium will host a western comedy. Riders in the Sky have been carrying on the tradition of the Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers for thirty years, winning two Grammy Awards. Although Riders in the Sky brands Western music with their own legendary wacky humor, they remain true to the integrity of Western music. Little buckaroos and buckarettes are also amused by their “Cowboy Way.”
